2016 1^st Quarter Adoption Report

January 1 – March 31, 2016

During the first quarter of 2016, 41 animals were surrendered to the Minnesota Herpetological Society.  Eight of them were relinquished by agencies (i.e. Minneapolis Animal Care and Control).  The remaining 33 were surrendered by private parties, most of whom were NOT MHS members.

Ten fostered animals were returned over the course of the three months.  During the January, February and March meetings, 51 animals were offered to the membership.  Of those, 25 were adopted, 9 were outsourced (adopted by non-MHS members), and 17 were placed in foster care.  Two of the fostered animals were adopted between meetings
