Animals Helping Humans: A Richfield Fundraiser
Join us on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 12–3pm at House of Prayer Lutheran Church for a one-of-a-kind community gathering supporting the Richfield Community Safety Network. Funds raised will go directly to Richfield families in need of emergency housing support. This family-friendly event brings together animal organizations and community partners who believe in the healing power of animals and connection.
Participating Animal Organizations:
Happy Jolly Llamas
Wee Farm
MN Pocket Pet Rescue
The Bond Between
Minnesota Herpetological Society
TC Parrot Rescue
North Star Therapy Animals of Pet Partners
Spend time with llamas, mini horses, puppies, reptiles, pocket pets, parrots, and therapy animals while experiencing the calming, grounding, and joy-filled impact of the human–animal bond. Animals have a remarkable way of easing stress, creating connection, and reminding us we’re not alone. This event creates space for comfort, laughter, meaningful interaction, and collective care.
Community Partners and Activities:
The Arts Creative: bringing their art bus for creative expression and art therapy experiences.
Hold Your Horses: sharing education about equine-assisted learning and therapy.
Serenity Farm and Stables: educating us on the awesome power of equine healing with homeopathic and strengths-based practices.
Face painting for kids (accepting tips/donations).
Richfield Community Safety Network is collecting donations and promoting their online art silent auction.
Richfield Cub Scouts will sell pizza, candy, and pop in the basement. They will host yard games for kids to play.
A screen pressing business will be downstairs selling up-cycled t-shirts. This means we encourage everyone to bring a shirt they already own or pick one from the donated shirts, choose a design to be pressed (community logo or rebel loon), and that’s it. A new shirt without creating waste!
While this event is open to the public, a strongly recommended $10 per person donation will be collected at the entrance to provide critical emergency housing support for local families. Every dollar goes directly toward helping Richfield families in need. AND every dollar we make will be matched by a large mystery donor!
