Jeff Lemm is a herpetologist at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research where he has worked for the past 25 years. Jeff has had a lifelong interest in reptiles and amphibians and has kept and bred them for the last 35 years. Jeff’s research and a love of fieldherping and photography have enabled Jeff to travel the globe in search of wildlife. His photos have appeared in many publications, including two of his own books. Professionally, Jeff has studied a variety of species, but his main research interests include rock iguanas, monitor lizards, rattlesnakes, and species native to the southwestern United States. Jeff is the founder of the North American Field Herping Association (NAFHA) and believes it is every herper’s responsibility to help educate and protect our native species. Jeff and his wife live in San Diego with their three children, all of whom have an interest in herps and fieldherping.
